Description
This is a revamping of an older picture of mine: [link]I used the same techniques as with the Sunrise Pin-up image, though slightly refined and with some small differences, such as the highlighting lines along the edges of the shadowed areas of limbs.
The background wall photo is a stock image ( [link] ) from ~borderline-stock .
EDIT: Changed the background because it was annoying me >__>
Total time: 10-12 hours
Sketched and inked by hand, scanned and coloured on the pc using Photoshop 7 and a Wacom graphics tablet.
Art and character design is copywrite to me (Jigokuko), unauthorised re-use without my express written consent is prohibited.

anyway, beauty of a drawing, spiffy colouring, a great improvement on the previous version.
However, you've already got quite a count of blind adulation, so I hope you won't consider me rude for offering some potential points for improvement to make your next piccy even better.
Considering how smooth and awesome your colouring on the rest of the piece is, the dagger/knife seems very flat and lackluster, and kind of stands out as looking a little half-assed compared to the rest of it. Also, the tail looks a little thin and I don't know how to put it... dextrous? I'm guessing it was drawn that way to fit within the confines of the page, it just looks a little off to my frustratingly anal self.
Hope that didn't come off as too picky or anything, I really REALLY like the pic, I just felt that with a few tweaks it could have been a lot better.
And if a person never receives any criticism of their work, there is less drive or direction to push for improvement.

I see what you mean about the dagger - I'm not that experienced with drawing weapons, so they turn out kinda dodgy, but i'll look into that 
I kinda added the tail in as an afterthought - something to take up more space on the page, but yeah, it's a bit skinny and whippy

I'm one of those mildy anal people who when they see something that bugs them, I have to go poke someone about it, so I ften find my sel critting too much, or where it isn't appreciated. Glad to see I got it right for a change
'tis a bit hippocritical to point out flaws in art 20 times better than me own, so i certainly can't tell you how to improve, but where. I'm all over it.

i cany say much cause only just watched you, but i have noticed you can use colours any sorts to fit pic. If i was doing it, she would be normal, like the brownish cremish skin colour. But i must say this would be great if it was a comic pic, like one of those Marvel characters xD
I really like that shading Fwahhh...i cant even get that rite and im being Cging for 2 years. I like it alot. and ohh i picked up on something. Her right hand, one without the sword, dosent it look a bit smaller or a bit off from the other???

I was actually considering doing a marvel-style picture soon, like turning one of my people into a superhero or something
The only advice I can give for CGing would be to study how other people do it, and then see if you can replicate their techniques, eventually, you'll have your own method and style perfected
...And yes, that hand is smaller. Damn thing gave me so much grief *shakes fist*

I think I need to find a way to give the hair more texture though, since it looks a little flat, what do you think? Although, I suppose I can be dodgy and just say that her hair is actually really elongated scales XD

Kind of, perhaps the arc of light in the hair needs to be less smooth (like, have bumps in it or something). But the colours are fantastic otherwise.

Luscious blues (I have a soft-spot for blue characters) and a really nice design. The twists of her horns and her tail really get my attention.
