In Page 8, a week after Ronno taken control over Faline... a fox named Fennec stumbles into Ronno's new territory, forcing him to confront and eventually tempt him into using the Lover's Flower

Fennec was storming into a dark secluded area of the wood, angry that Vixey was with Tod. Ronno sees him walking before walking towards him.

Fennec: Stupid Tod... stealing my beautiful Vixey from me! I swear... if I could, I would murder that fox!
Ronno: What are you doing in my territory!

Fennec jumped at the sound of Ronno's voice and looked behind him, seeing Ronno glare at him.

Fennec: I'm sorry little buddy! I didn't know this was your territory! I was just passing through!
Ronno: Yeah right! And judging by what you said, you want this Vixey really bad, don't you?
Fennec: I'll give anything to have her!
Ronno: I could... nah! You're not worthy! Look, the choice is your... either leave now or make yourself useful! I worked too hard to get this territory and I'm not letting someone like you ruin it for me!
Fennec: Useful? Like what do you mean by useful? All I want to do now is take away my beloved Vixey from that Tod! No offense, but I know you can't do anything to help me?
Ronno: What if I told you I have something that can help you with Vixey?
Fennec: You're lying! You're just a stupid fawn!
Ronno: I'm older than I look, moron! Actually, I have something that can help you get this Vixey!
Fennec: How do I know I can trust you?
Ronno: I was in your situation once... I wanted a girl who ended up being with my very enemy! I thought I had lost her for good, till I found this special thing and now, I'm living my dream life... with the girl of my dreams by my side!
Fennec: What did you do?
Ronno: This thing took control over her, and with me in control of this special thing, I enslaved her to my will and now, she's being enslaved as speak...
Fennec: Control her... hey, that might work with Vixey! I can make her hate Tod! But how can I find this item you speak of?
Ronno: If you want to use it... you need to agree with my conditions! What are you willing to do for this item?
