I've been practicing drawing Dala in some poses making use of her gymnastics talent on rings which then inspired this; Dala performing the iconic iron cross in sweaty high resolution! Seriously, I had really fun zooming in getting into the detail of those sweat drops. I strongly recommend Downloading to see the full image.

I also just wanted a nice Dala pic to print for a 50x70cm frame at 300dpi... which ended up being 5906 x 8268 pixels. It always surprises me how different it feels to work at such a high resolution. The strokes from thicker brushes act differently as the stabilizer feature shows its flaws so the approach to lineart becomes different, like utilizing the eraser more to refine the shapes of the lines because the line weight just gets fucked at the tips. I also wanted to do it like the "pros" and make a thumbnail of what I want first, but ended up making a pixel art version of what I wanted instead which was just dumb difficult to use as the groundwork. Really liking how that little picture turned out though, I decided to upscale it to use as a sketch. But at that point its lines are super thick to the point where it can't be trusted for accurate proportions. Point is I learned a bunch of small dumb things that seem obvious in hindsight. But I really love how it turned out in the end.
