Whenever I get artistically stuck and go on hiatus for a long while, Padma always somehow encourages and welcomes me back to the art world.

2017 was the last time I drew Padma before moving on to other characters and life obligations. There’s definitely a shift in style, direction, and technique after not working or even looking at her for 5 years. I do like the high color saturation I worked with previously, so I’m considering incorporating some of my previous techniques for future works. That said, I can draw curly hair and more culturally accurate elements so much better now and I’m going to continue with my improvements in that area.
