For CHOW #196 - The Wizard of OzI won the Robin Hood round (woot!) so I got to host round #196 (I got to pick the topic). A re-imagining of any of the Wizard of Oz's four main characters. This is the Scarecrow.

I really like all the characters but I think they would be even more awesome all together. The juxtaposition of Dorothies realism with scarecrow and lions surrealism would be pretty amazing.

I really like all the yummy textures and detail. I'm glad that your versions are unique, but they're still in the light hearted spirit of the story. I keep seeing really macabre versions that are cool to look at, but don't feel right in the story. It'd be like zombie peter pan with Tinkerbell as a cockroach. It's interesting, but the drastic deviation from the original subject just ends up being a distraction rather than a welcome new concept.
