This was my entry for the Create Your Own Princess competition- [link] Big thanks to David- [link] who critiqued this piece for me and without him this would have been a crappy piece of art, 
The short story to this piece is that she is releasing all she has left that is dear to her, this is a goodbye because there is a war coming and she would rather die and preserve what little good there is in the world then to lose both her life and the lives of those she cares about. this was a a lot of fun for me to draw, it took loads of time and there was lots of changes made to it over time, but this was the final outcome, I hope you like it.drawn in Photoshop CS3 with my Wacom Intous

The thighs look a little big to me, but other than that, this is as dynamic as usual~
The winds look amazing, kinda like they're transparent at the tips or blending into the backround, and the dress is perfectly done.
The face and the glow to this picture are also really great~ it looks sort of storybook like to me.

I want you to know that I came by to just say hello after you left a comment on my page for another piece I fav'd. I typically DO NOT like this type of art, in the fairy princess style. I'm a dark art admirer but I must tell you, this is breathtaking. The detail in the fabric of her clothing is just amazing. I had to fav it. I'm shocked myself! lol
