What a great piece! It shows Batman doing what he does best--protecting the innocent, especially the children, something he was not able to do for himself when his parents were murdered. I looked at the various versions of this piece and actually like this one best--the longer, more tattered cape suits it better, along with the whispers of flame around him, rather than being surrounded by fire. Your contrast between black and white in this is very nice as well. A definite fav in my book!
