AKA: Sally Acorn Day

I used to be really into the Sonic fandom back in the day, but college took me away from it for quite some time. Now that I've regained my interest in it I'm quickly learning all the stuff I missed out on whilst I was gone.

Having joined recently I was surprised to see that Sally's "birthday" is/was in September. Well having been taken by surprise I had no time to make a tribute, but felt the need anyway. I mean we're talking one of the most pivotal characters in the fandom, and a personal favorite if you couldn't tell. She deserves a little love late or not.

Thusly even though I'm a day late and it's not even done yet (I'm gonna ink & color it!!!) I had to put this up just to let the world know I didn't shirk my obligation to everyone's favorite princess.

If you know anything about the SatAM universe (and I suppose you do if you're checking this out right now) this scene should be pretty familiar to you. I wanted to break out of my usual sketch comic routine and create an actual designed comic layout for this. It's pretty abbreviated, but I was trying to cram as much of the scene into one page as possible. You should prolly get it regardless. Just goes to show how much of a team the Blue Blur and the Princess really are.

UPDATE: That took long enough! Thank God I have a Bamboo on order. I've reached my limit of Coloring/Shading with a mouse.
