Beautiful shot. So crisp. I also love the in and out of focus plantlife (they would make the photo for me even without the dragonfly, but that's probably just me

probably just you lol.. i dont like the plants etc on the left.. i'm a minimalist.. and i hate distracting stuff in the frame.. but that is just me and i think that is actually a flaw of mine..

Minimalist eh? Interesting. I don't think I am one of those. Either way, you produce some awesome photos, so it can't be an altogether bad thing (but I won't complain if you leave the plantlife in from time to time

Very nice focus, dof and interesting subject and all, yes. But what got my attention is this absolutely wonderful pastel green and moderately structured background. The perfect fit, I'd say.

yeah.. the dragonfly is cool.. but it wouldnt be nearly the same photo with a dull bg.. i think this shot is as much about the colours/light quality as it is about the dragonfly

That's so cool, how close do you have to go to get these shots? When I chase bugs the camera nearly has to touch them lol

this wasn't shot with ma macro.. with my macro the closest it can get is 32cm.. i put that on after taking a few from a distance... a good idea i find.. take some further back be4 moving in.. incase it flies...
this was shot from about 2m away? at 200mm

Awesome, you should see me chase bugs. I have the camera roughly two centimetres away before I can focus on the bug
