Description a submission for 's creature contest: the Rack'nicaii
now for some back story: the Rack'bicaii are actually the second civilized beings of their planet. after the first "intelligent" race of the their planet nearly destroyed all life in a nuclear holocaust, their ancestors were one of the few surviving creatures and like all life they adapted to the circumstances. now nearly 2 billion years later they can only breath the toxic air of their home planet and have to wear special types of gasmasks almost anywhere else. due to the nature of their planet they are highly radiation resistant and are able to live and work in the harshest of conditions.

they range in color from orange to brown to almost white and their skin can be various tints of gray/green, no sexual diamorphism apart from the females having milk producing organs (AKA: tits).

due to the nature of their existence and the fate of their planet, the Rack'nicaii are a scavenging race, living of the work of those that came before. they were able to grow quite quickly as a civilized race due to being able to use the technology and knowledge of the previous inhabitants of the planet and eventually they rose to the stars. due to their inability to breath any air but their own they have to wear their gasmasks on all alien planets and space-stations. this is also the reason why they haven't colonized any other planets yet, they are quite common on interstellar space-stations though.

trivia:
-estimated population: 7 billion
-their young hatch from eggs, but are mammals and suckle milk
-their whole society is based of using other people's work and findings, therefor the concept of ownership is very alien to them, especially concerning copyright infringement.
-average life span: 75 earth years
-their language is a combination of clicking noises made by their teeth and throat.

all this is up for to change of course.
