Description A sunset photo from a few weeks ago and a grass photo from today, both edited with Paint.NET. Yeah, it's not awesome, but it's meant to be Gallifrey X3

Well I really like it when people leave thoughtful comments on my art that aren't just "cool lol" or something like that. So of course I try to say as much as I can in comments when I post them. You're definitely welcome.

Oh I totally agree! One-word comments annoy me. I like people to tell me WHY they think it's 'cool', or WHICH parts they thought were 'pretty.' I really don't want to just see 'nice pic lol' and be expected to thank them for the compliment

Yes! Especially since I've promised to have a perfect record of replying to every single one of my comments (that's only because I don't get that many ) I find it gets a bit repetitive to reply to all the one word comments with "Thanks!" "Thank you!" "Thankies!" over and over again. Oh and I've been wondering, how is your text smaller than mine in your comments? Do you have to make it that way every time you comment or is it a setting? Just curious.

Aww, well that's a really nice goal to set yourself! I always try to reply too, although I don't have anywhere near as much time to spend on dA as I used to, so some comments do end up sitting in my messages for a few days (or weeks, or months ) until I finally get around to them. But yeah, I did stop responding to all the 'thanks for the faves' comments on my page because I got really bored of replying with constant 'you're welcome's. Plus I put up a giant rainbow custom box telling everyone they didn't have to thank me and absolutely no one took any notice, so I was all well if you don't do as I ask on my own page, I definitely won't be responding to you
So for the smaller text, you put:

< sub >

without the spaces at the start of your comment. Like for how you get bold text using the < b > tag. And the more < sub >s you use, the smaller it gets! XD And yeah, it's something you have to do for every comment as far as I'm aware. I just think the smaller text looks a bit neater
