man u have no idea....tattooing is like my ultimate dream job. id drop welding in a heartbeat if i was givin the opportunity to learn the trade.....i get mad sometimes because i watch miami ink alot and i dont know if u have seen it but yoji, the asian apprentice sucks at drawing!!!! or atleast he did.....and he has this AMAZING opportunity....im not saying im gods gift to art but damn....its all about the people you know i guess...getting an apprenticeship seems as hard as being an astronaut(figurativly speaking)....o well i guess huh.

i love that show. its all who you know and a little of where you live too. did i ever tell you about this kid that lives next door to me ? if i havent i will tell you the story next time . but i think you would be an excellent tattoo artist. if i was a little younger i would have liked to get into it myself. i think money would be a problem getting started in it especially with the apprenticeship.

ya the money would probably suck....i guess if it trully is a dream of someones it doesnt matter, they will find other ways to get money. i defianetly wanna hear your story...when u got time let me in on it....dont forget!!!

hey finally getting back to you i got this neighbor kid who i really dont know all that well but i talk to his stepdad alot. he says the kid is a good kid but a little weird at times . so knowing this i kinda see him around here and there and one day im talking to the stepdad and i bring up the art thing. he tells me his son draws and i should give his stuff a look see. i tell him ok and think the next time i see him i'll bring it up. the next day the kid (james) comes over but im not home from work yet. so i got next door and ask whats up. he starts rambling about drawing and tells me to take a look at his notebook. this notebook is about 2 inches thick.full of stuff. so anyway we sit there talking about drawing and im thumbing thru this thing thinking omfg this kid can draw. he tells me how his therapist has him draw out the shit that comes to him in nightmares. i cant believe what im seeing. then he runs downstairs and comes back up with these nature drawings ducks birds and flowers. some of the best stuff ive ever seen up close. he says this is what he draws when he's medicated. so we talked and shit for about 2 hrs and im telling him that he needs to take his drawings down to the tattoo shops around town and let the guys see em. he's telling me how he wants to get into that line of work. so to make this story short he sees me the next week and tells me how this parlor in town has offered him an apprenticeship but he turned it down. so im askin why and he tells me that another shop in town wants him to work there and will actually pay him to apprentice and teach him the whole line of work. turns out hes a pretty cool kid just has a few normal teen angst issues. this was about 6 months ago all this came about and i talked to the dad the other day and he says james is like in a cloud about working at the tattoo shop. so i couldnt feel happier for him and i told him the last time i saw him that when he gets to the point where he can do a tattoo that i want to be his first customer and hes all happy and tells me he'll do whatever i want any size and he'll do it for free. so i wish him the best and who knows ..... might see him on some tv show someday

wow man....i envy that kid then...he seems passionate about his art...which is awesome....im glad he wasnt he took it...i get so fusterated when i hear of other people gettin amazing opportunities and pass em by....i know its there life and all....but it still fusterates me....well that is absolutely a badass story.....i hope he does well with his apprentice ship....and u got the 1st tattoo reserved ..friggin awesome.

i need to get an update from him on how everythings going. i tryed to talk him into putting some stuff on here but no success yet. just a quick add to the story i came home last week and i hear this music playing. a guitar solo type thing and i look thru the fence and james has this guitar and he's smokin away on it in dads garage. i think i need to rub some elbows with this kid

thats cool man....haha spotted him smokin huh lol...thats cool as shit...see why dont i anyone cool like that to hang out with....smoke and draw with or talk art....thats cool...o well...i hope the tattoo thing is goin good for him.....and uh ya i would rub elbows with him too...haha later man.

thanks alot...i appreciate your comment and takin the time to check it out. no i dont have a pic of the tattoo...the girl is saving up a little cash so she can get it....itll be exciting to see it tho....my artwork tattooed on another person.....ive drawn lots of tattoos for people and its an awesome feeling....
