Biography

Celestum's homeland is rich with rare, valuable metals coveted far and wide, from Stelt to Xia. Because of this, the natives have hardened themselves into vicious, formidable warriors in order to defend their land from greedy invaders. Despite being a primitive, tribal people, they maintain a strong code of honor and are fervent followers of Mata Nui and his Three Virtues. Because of their devotion, the Order of Mata Nui frequently keeps contact with them, and is one of the few allies with whom they freely donate their precious resources.

Celestum was once a chief-to-be of his tribe. But then, he gave up that rank to join the Order for the greater good. Like most of his people, Celestum is a ferocious warrior and no stranger to brutality. Also like his people, however, he checks his primal ferocity with wisdom and patience. His upbringing as a chief-to-be makes him a natural leader who inspires others to trust in him. He's loyal to the Order, but doesn't approve of their secrecy- believing that servants to the Great Spirit shouldn't work in the dark- and is not afraid of challenging Helryx's most controversial decisions. He's armed to the teeth with his battle spear and dual daggers, but he alone is dangerous enough with his primal martial arts guiding his strength and claws. His species can also manipulate energy in the form of concentrated beams from their weapons or hands, which can either blind enemies or burn through armor.

Figure Blabber

NO. Celestum was not meant to be a Brutaka rip-off. I just liked the gold and white combo and Brutaka's mask was the only good gold one I had to top it all off. This time around, I'm grateful for having that mask because it's design helps guide the personality of this moc and give some depth to the character.

This is another super special moc to me because it uses a lot of custom concepts that break away from titan moc tropes. Granted, some of them were inspired straight from titan Takutanuva, but I gave those borrowed concepts my own spin as best as I could. It also makes me happy to have another moc with up to 4 fingers and who can keep all of them when he's holding a weapon- even if its with tricky adjustments.

Have to give my brother credit for the head design; Well, it's not my brother's design, but he found the guy who DID design it (who's name I'm sad to say escapes me). It's a bit sparse in the back, but I love how it brings makes the eyes more visible (even if only in fewer colors than the Metru stalks).
