....The apple signifies the apple Eve stole from the Tree of Knowledge amidst the Garden of Eden. This action is (supposedly) the cause of original sin and all that eternal damnation mumbo jumbo. And as far as the "massacre"...just look around. The world is a mess.
Anyways, terrific piece, the colors in your photos are very vibrant. Also like the concept as well.

This actually has a really great concept.. like "ok, god, you gave us apples and the nature but you also gave us so many fucked up things, so take your apples back... we don't want it anymore if we have to suffer like we do.." I don't know.. something like that.
or maybe "god, the maggots are eating this apple... it's suffering.. heal it!"...

Actually, this would fit really well with a poem by Robert Frost. It's called "After Apple-Picking" and the apples, I think, are a symbol of goals in life. But the narrator says that he is tired of apple-picking. You should read it, I think you'd like to see how it fits with your photo. You can read it here [link]
