Description Yawhn... sorry about not posting anything in awhile... life has gotten less than convenient with long commutes to my job. I still have my weekly drawing schedule, but I've got a bunch of pro-bono work to get through as well.

But here's a fan-art piece of Psylocke inspired by a bunch of X-Men trade paperbacks I checked out from the local library (God bless all the librarians, they're saving me a lot of money while I've been struggling money-wise). But I just love the way artist Chris Bachalo put little poof-balls on Psylocke in some of his rendition of her. Got into a geek-argument about it with a friend who thinks they're stupid...and he had very valid points (they don't really fit the character), but they're just so adorable.

I really like the pose on this pic. Didn't know that she had poofs in her hair.

Normally Psylocke doesn't have poofs, but comic artist Chris Bachalo drew some awesome X-Men covers with her sporting them... and I liked it.

There is something unsettling about her. Very inhuman.
I can't figure out how to say "grotesquely animal-esqe" positively, because I DO like this.

Nah-nah, you've got it right... I was going for a lanky distortion of her body with large chun-li thighs... dunno what I was on at the time...

Thanks!

Very nice style! Unique. If I had to compair it, I guess I'd say Peter Chung (Aeon Flux) like.

But I agree. I've been a fan of Chris Bachalo since Shade: The Changing Man (still have every issue). Sadly, I'm not sure what he's working on now. I haven't seen his name on any X-Books lately... though there's just too many to track now IMO.

Thanks! I wanted her to be all lanky in such. But, yeah, I need to find more of Chris' work... he's really talented.
