Here it is, the second of my big 2018 projects - L&MR 'Lion', perhaps better known as the 'Titfield Thunderbolt', fully motorised in 00 Scale! A lot of effort has gone into designing her, but I think it was worthwhile. One of only a handful of kits to be made of the engine, it is to my knowledge the only one currently available to the public...This scratch aid is available for purchase at www.shapeways.com/shops/newman…

It's a Tenshodo motor bogie that plugs straight into the tender. All additional components needed are detailed on the Shapeways model page.

Very pleased to see this is available on Shapeways. I've been after a kit for Lion for years now, but given production stopped many moons ago, to say they're expensive would be an understatement! Let alone actually finding one!
This will make a very nice alternative, and even better, it now gives me the excuse to actually trying a 3D printed model, something else I've been meaning to get round to for some time now!

Thanks. There are various materials made available to match budgets, though the WSF/BSF will require more filling/sanding prep for a smooth finish. Hope you enjoy and would love to see some pics once finished.
