Something screwy is going on behind the scenes at the Discovery Channel - episodes 702 and 703 of "Mythbusters" have been postponed indefinitely (though for some reason, 704 is still scheduled to air on August 27). As someone who was all psyched up to enjoy new episodes again after a five-month hiatus, this is pretty damn disappointing. But I'll let you folks in on a secret - while I do enjoy the myths and the experiments, one of the reasons I look forward to new "Mythbusters" episodes is because I have a huge celebrity crush on Kari Byron. (Like I'm the only one...)I needed to do something to get me through a two-week drought after a broken promise of at least seven new episodes in a row. So I thought I'd draw a quick little tribute to my favorite Mythbuster - smart, pretty, and funny all in the same arcwelding package!

Did you hear that Kari once won the title of "Sexiest Geek"? I can't remember which magazine/organization awarded her this illustrious honor, but I had to laugh and agree! Grant is my favorite, but Kari is an inspiration!

It was probably FHM - they did a photo shoot a few years ago of Kari in a bikini and a lab coat dropping Mentos into bottles of Diet Coke. And I must agree with their choice to bestow said honor upon her!
I heard that Discovery is planning to at least air 703 "Ninja Special 2" on August 29. 702 "Viral Hour" remains MIA as far as I know.

I've seen some episodes. I did watch one that had to do with them making a rocket car. Thier second attempt failed because it blew up the whole car instead of shooting straight forward.

Nice pic, she really does add a good bit to that show- I was watching the one about the Pirate Sails and Cannonball/splinters 2 days ago. Your rendition of her is cool- there's a slight resemblance of certain features to Lois Griffin from Family Guy.

That was a rerun of the Season 5 Pirate Special that replaced 702 "Viral Hour" at the last minute. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but for me, its appearance on Wednesday just kind of ticked me off.

Very awesome! Do you remember what season of Mythbusters she first appeared? It's just that Seasons 1 and 2 are on DVD in Australia, and I'm not sure which one to get.

She first appeared in Season 1 as an occasional assistant to Adam and Jamie, but she didn't become a regular until Season 2 when she, Tori, and Scotty began taking on myths of their own. (Grant replaced Scotty during Season 3.)
