I went looking in a few of my old drawings and came across this Doctor Who Fan comic I was working on way back in 1997.

The idea was this was some Earth colony somewhere in the future and these guys in the land speeders were the local police/paramilitary types.Basically, they had lost contact with this outlying colony and they were investigating, not knowing what to expect.

What's curious is my version of the Doctor. This was early 1997, no new series or even that crappy Fox TV movie. And yet my "new" incarnation of the Doctor bears some similarities to David Tennant's. A youngish man in a striped suit, with messy hair and tennis shoes (and the sonic screwdriver in his vest pocket in that picture!) And I distinctly recall that one of the themes I was going to use in the story was the idea that the Doctor had become something of a myth in the far future. This mysterious figure that has been on the outskirts of history for ages. Very much the same idea they play up in the new series.
