Mixed Media on 36" x 24" CanvasIn this piece I wanted a real sense of motion in the urban environment. I spend most of my time surrounded by skyscrapers and urban architecture. The massive scale of these structures always humbles me as a person, as I see the true scale of life through being enclosed in such a confined space.
Surroundings, and balance, was what I was going for in this piece, and the ever vibrating things that engulf us everyday, whether it's time, or thought. The rotation of the circular check design, resembles time, and the ticking away of the hours that leads me to be driven in my quest of a unified form, and a harmonic tone in my work.

Jason, I have to say that this is one of the most well-designed pieces I've seen in some time. It goes without saying that your colors are amazing, but I'm stunned at how well all of the elements tie in together.

Thank you so much. I have been trying to develop this style, and use spacial elements for some time, and yes, I believe I have finally figured out how to incorporate them successfully. I am very excited to continue my work and grow.

Sense of motion is right. You have captured that perfectly. The beauty of the model, the doves and the lamp adds just to the breathtaking nature of the piece.

You're one of my favourite artists on this site and probably in my top 10 contemporary artists out of anywhere I have seen art. Your stuff is fresh and yet familiar. It's beautiful without being stuck up. It's simplistic without being basic.
