As we all know, Vanessa is Ursula’s disguise as a beautiful young skinny woman to marry Eric for her to rule the seas and ruin Ariel’s lives, but had you ever wondered if there is an alternate version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid (1989) featuring a good version of Vanessa. She would have been Ariel and Eric’s close friend trying to help Ariel navigate to the human world and try to educate her about culture and society in the human world. Brooke Shields back in the late 80s would have been considered to voice the good version of Vanessa as Good Vanessa and Brooke Shields have a lot to do with each other like character, personality, beauty, elegance. What if she also has 2 talking cats and what if there were names after Cruella DeVille’s henchmen Jasper and Horace which Jasper is a black and white cat looking like Cat from Little Bear and voiced by Henry Winkler and Horace is an orange cat looking like Thomas O’Malley from Aristocats and Oliver from Oliver and Company and voiced by Ron Howard, they would have been friends with Sebastian, Flounder, Scuttle, even Max, Ariel, and Eric. They including the good version of Vanessa would have captured her impersonator that Ursula disguised as red-handed, confronted her at the wedding where chaos occurred, catch and busted her, and save Ariel’s life from Ursula and tried to help Eric get recovered. She would have also worked in an restaurant/entertainment center similar to Chuck E Cheeses, Dave and Buster’s, and Goofy Goobers (restaurant and entertainment center from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004)) as an ice cream clerk, serving ice cream to children, perhaps children from previous Disney films like Pinocchio and Lampwick from Pinocchio, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Wendy, John, Michael, Lost Boys, and Tiger Lily from Peter Pan, Arthur Pendragon from Sword in the Stone, Mowgli (dressed in blue button short sleeved button shirt, khakis pants, brown belt, white socks, black shoes, and white briefs behind his clothes) and Shanti (with longer hair tied in a ponytail in a short sleeved denim knee length dress and Mary Jane shoes) from Jungle Book, Jane and Michael from Mary Poppins as animated cameos, Christopher Robin (with larger eyes like in Winnie The Pooh (2011)) from Winnie The Pooh, Penny from Rescuers, and Jenny from Oliver and Company, and if Disney made the Sound of Music (1965) instead of 20th Century Fox, the Von Trapp Kids as animated cameos enjoying their playtime. Plus, Mary Poppins and Bert from Mary Poppins in their outfits from the Jolly Holiday/Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious scene/song sequence would have appeared as animated cameos in the wedding chaos scene. Plus, There would have been another character named George who have resembled singer George Michael and actor Brad Pitt who would also be friends with Ariel and Eric as that would have been Vanessa’s fiance.
