I have this one too. This is my all time favorite. It's what lead me to your work. What I really like about it is that people don't notice what it is really about immediately. They see your "April print on my wall first and after some time, they discover "the good" too. Thanks for making this available. Interestingly, I had a problem when I first got it on a wrapped canvas, and when I complained they told me to send it back for a refund. I told them that I just wanted a print. The sent the print and they closed my other account. I'm still trying to find the good in that situation. Oh, maybe it made me love this print even more!!!!

Wow. This peice is amazing. I truly love the message behind this piece. You should also note that I'm feeling just a bit jealous, as my art never turns out *half* as good as this...

Another beautiful piece by you. Really, I love your gallery, all of your art looks superb and has a meaning to it. The lighting on the soldier with his hands open for the butterfly is a great affect, and as an above poster said, he looks lost in thought with the butterfly.

I really like the hands with the butterfly and how the soldier seems to be lost in thought on it.

which war is this based off of and which part of the military. I was just wondering because my father is a Nam vet and he has a million vietnam stuff all over his house and he used to draw soldiers all the time when he was there and has a huge folder of them and he has a lot of violent drawings. . .this is something that brings light to the situations he recalls and I would love to purchase it for his birthday coming up. . .looking at it though it looks more like world war 1 with them being in a hole like that. anyway, just wondering. he was army special forces.

I've never thought that way about war. It seems so hard to find any beauty in such a dark place, but I guess it is always possible.
Wonderful painting, I love the colouring style. The meaning and emotion behind it is deep and pure. Excellent piece.

amazing job, as always. i cant help but think how young the boy holding the butterfly looks compared to the other men around him...then again, it may be just me.

Awhile ago I faved your portrait of Thom Yorke after doing a keyword search for stuff inspired by him, but I never really came by your gallery. So finally the other day I revisited that piece and later on your gallery, and for the past few day's I've been going through you gallery piece by piece trying to find one piece to fav... otherwise I'd end up adding your entire gallery to my favorites. And after my long deliberation, I've decided on this one. I'm blown away by your talent in a different way through each piece of yours, so it was hard. I decided on this one because of your message. You obviously put a lot of thought into the theme of each of your pieces, and I love the message of this one. You had a very simple purpose in mind: positive thinking, but what is really beautiful about this one is your illustration of that idea... the orange butterfly in the midst of green, earthy tones demands immadiate attention, and the irony of such an occurence (in terms of both the color scheme and the idea of the butterfly iteslf in such a harsh environment) drives the point home. Well done, my friend. I'll try my best to buy some of your prints later on.

No one sees the true beauty of anything anymore.
Especially not when there's so much pain to distract us.

I just love this one.

Even though I haven't been at war (nor do I pretend I can understand the horror), but I've been at bootcamp (in sweden)... and sometimes when you're out there crawling in the mud, you'll find some of nature's beauty and it'll paw at your heart and make you cough. Because soldiers don't cry, they cough

Interesting, you know I love green tones
Although maybe my eye was catched mainly by the contrast between the harsh touchs at sky and the sweet and fluid paint brush for water, an element moreover I like specially in your style Its ever seem me very original
And composition is very well done, weights are very equilibrated, the line of bayonet leads my eyes cleverly...

Yup, very powerful image. I love the deep green of the whole thing, and nice little details here and there. The composition, too, is just great.

Can't find flaw with this one. Deserves to be in a gallery, for sure.
