The man seperates 2 sides there, seaside one side, forest the other, turtles one side, machine other side. Different cultures and races also if you check the girl's and the boy's clothes and characteristics. A way of communication between them. At this point the blindness from the cloth might mean a way of communication without eye contact, more distant, less personal and the octopus might mean one that might hide dangers lurking. What troubles me is whether or not to consider the blinded man a means to their communication or actually the one trully seperating them, his blindness meant to show no personal favor or even mischievious behavior if you combine it with the octopus. Either way, if you want my opinion, any communication other than face to face interaction can in the end be seperating people, creating distance between them. Nice work by the way.
