oooh! As soon as I saw this one, I could FEEL it! Amazing...did you use gold paper or paint? I'm just curious because the fibrous material on top of the gold has SUCH a fantastic texture...exceptional piece@!

I am happy that you like it! That is gold paint over that same light blue lacy paper that is laid over it again... I think. Hmm. You can get a sense of the lacy light blue paper on two strips on the left.

Also What did you use to get the "scratch marks" if I can call them that?

oh, it's two layers of acrylic. i applied the top layer and then dragged through it with this funny little palette knife that sort of spreads out when you press down on it, like a flexible rake. I also have this tool made by liquitex - maybe it's called a mop? that looks like a long rounded straw broom. it's plastic, and the broom bristles are about five inches long.

It looks like he's walking in a cloud... maybe a cloud of his own thoughts. Great textures!

this paper was from a pile of scraps that I acquired. It was quite thick, and fluffy in texture.
