I think what the first commenter meant about it looking realistic was how it popped from the flat background. The distinct variations of tone make it seem 3-Dimensional. I really like the complementary colors with the green and red and orange and blue; that makes it even more dynamic! Also, how you incorporated an Asian touch to the cliche pirate of the west, really made it recognizable but original as well.
I think im going to go choke on some of those big words I just used.... <3 great job. Gonna go check out your gallery now

She looks awesome. I mean that both by the work done and by her as a person - she has a lot of quirk and character and just looks cool. I'd love to play as her in a game or something, it looks like she's come from one.
