Say one thing for illegal underground fighting circuits, say that they don't make you waste time posing for pictures before the bout starts.

Oh, the promotors would say they were "introducing" her to the audience, as if anyone in attendance had bought a ticket without knowing who was fighting in the main event. As a matter of fact the audience looked more impatient than Sophia for the bout to get going, while the announcer droned on and on while the cameras snapped photo after photo of Sophia and her opponent across the cage.

The blonde tank was not doing as good a job as Sophia of hiding her annoyance, bouncing on her feet and staring daggers at the announcer to get on already.

As the annoying little man kept going, Sophia thought to herself that one consolation was that, given her record and that of her opponent, the fight would be over very, very quickly, regardless of the outcome.

Sophia would later decide that at this point one of the Fates must have grinned and told another "Hold my beer".
