Description
The third in my series of drawings for the Order of Saint Celestine. This is the armor worn by Legatine ranked Sisters of Battle, such as a Palatine or Canoness.

While the Sisters Militant wear Crimson armor with white cloth, or Celestians and Seraphim wear white armor with red cloth, the Legatine ranked sisters of the order wear golden armor with red and white accents. Thus all sisters wear the Order's colors of Crimson, White, and Gold, just in different areas and proportions.

I wanted the armor worn by the Legatines to be different from the rank and file, more ornate, more like a medieval suit of armor than the "Corset with shoulder pads" that the Sororitas normally wear. Though some things have been changed, I kept certain elements so it seems thematically tied to the other Sororitas armor.

In terms of the actual drawing, I think it's probably the best I've done experimenting with the animation-like cell shading idea with no black "inking". Overall I'm pretty pleased with it, minus some minor niggling things I'm unsatisfied with...but really how often do you have a piece of artwork you're 100% happy with?

Next up will be a redesign for a Repentia, and maybe an Inquisitor...
