Managed to drag myself out of my creative doldrums to draw my current D&D character for the group with whom I'm gaming.

Clash is a tortle fighter who wasn't exactly the kindest soul growing up. He joined with a mercenary gang that only helped people who could afford their services. When the gang was destroyed by fire giants and Clash alone survived, only to be enslaved by the giants, he began to see the world in a different light. His strength outmatched for the first time in his life, the tortle was used as a battle thrall by the giants, eventually even being forced to learn their ancient rune magic to make himself more effective in their raids. He eventually managed to injure his overseer and make a break for it, and ever since that day, he's been on the straight and narrow, trying to make up for his past callousness.
