From my actual "serie" of comic books girls !
the other was Elektra

I didn't really aimed for the same goal than the ninja assassin; it was all about shad and light, and here it's way more exposed.
This one turned out a bit too much "comic book" than "painting"; alas. I like it tho.
Not too sure about the backgound however, it was a bit rushed.
The pic itself as some 90's feeling in it... at least that's what I think; I guess it's the purple that give me this idea.

------About my personnal choices for her rendering:-----------

I know some of you are gonna complain about the fact she's got "too much make up", that's "she looks more than her age", that's "x-23 wouldn't pose like that..." blahblahblah....

Gee ! search for x-23 on D.A, and you'll probably find something more for your taste

Now, about the make-up:

1st: if she sounds a bit older, it's BECAUSE of the make-up, indeed.
otherwise I tryed to archieve a teen's proportion; meaning not too large hips, a bigger head, and not too curvy overall.

2nd : One thing I was sure I wasn't going to do; typical gothic make up, dark colors, rimmel all over her face, etc...
Gothic isn't ALL about dark and trashy stuff; so I went for an other kind of gothic; more colorfull, in a way.

3rd : It's great fun to do, especially if ya want to make it correctly, the hardest thing being to suggest the brightness below the eyebrows; because generally it's very... huh "oily" ... I'm sure it's not the TRUE word for that, but my make-up english vocabulary isn't too extended
but in any case it's a different work INSIDE the work itself. Painting someting in your actual painting.

It's all about colors , hues, and structure...

Gotta say that all, these advertisings for makeup that are spammed on TV helped a lot...If you pay attention to a minimum, you'll end by understanding how it's applied and in what order.
OH YEAH, what did you expected me to say ?
95% of what I draw/ paint are women,then I've got to understand some girl's stuff sometime.

Looks weird to you ? not that much. How can you draw a realistic gun if you don't know how the pieces come together ?

For the lips I chose a blood red, interesting because, in contrast to her pale skin, (well OK , she ended being more tan that expected, so the contrast it not as huge as it was before )

Oh: one last note: at the beginning I didn't even wanted to add her claws, but it would have been a bit hard for some poeple to guess who she was, so I finally had them, but they aren't too noticeable, then it's perfect like that !
