Yes, Eiji acted like complete bastard buuuuuut....he made for his love! Sooooo.... After all he din't get even warm hug of goodbye
I decide to fix it, cuz 8 of 10 fanarts of SAO is Asuna or Kirito -_- .
I know what he wears gloves, but if you hug your beloved one last time- you should put them off...
Why no tears? Their relationship little complecated, & he held steadly in last scene when Yuna is gone. (or\& probably he lost memories of her...) But let's not break his image.
