That's a stunning view! We only spent one day at Barcelona during a beach holiday at the Spanish east coast. It's ages ago and the only thing I remember was Antonio Gaudi's "Sagrada Familia". I guess you took photos of that unusual church, too.

Yes,I did a few approaches to "Sagrada Familia" but,on the whole,I didn't like this church.Maybe it's because it isn't finished yet,but I felt quite disappointed,it was just overwhelming, but in the negative sense. Moreover, such an important place should be,in my opinion,a bit more exposed, and it's quite tightly squeezed on a not very big square, with buildings all around. In addition, there was kind of a horrible Christmas market just in front of the church, with stalls full of trashy stuff for crazy tourists craving for souvenirs(I think, because no one with a pinch of common sense wouldn't buy it).The church looked much more acceptable in the night,it was quite nicely lit.

I have got a kind of "special relation" to Gaudi's church.

I have always liked the Alan Parsons' Project (music from the 80s). And one of their albums was titled GAUDI. Excellent music, lyrics about the building of La Sagrada Familia.

And when I had the chance to see that church in Barcelona in 1993, I was simply thrilled.

Oh yes,I know Alan Parson's Project and of course I know (and like) the song "La Sagrada Familia",but I completely forgot it when I was in Barcelona I hope when they will have finished the building,it will be worth the inspiration it gave, now for me it's simply big.

I don't think they'll ever finish it. Maybe that's part of the attraction and keep people curious.
