Description
This is something I've been working on for a while now - I have been so busy with my work and commission projects I've barely had time to draw anything else. Anyway, I have wanted to make a proper artwork about my Neverwinter Nights 2 character, Izalie, for a long time and here it is finally. Her main class is druid but she has also few classes as a fighter (hence the sword). Check the NwN2 meme for more info about her -> [link]At first I thought about drawing her using Ice Storm or Call Lightning spells (which I like to use a lot in the game) but in the end I couldn't resist a chance to draw Entangle spell in a forest setting...
I'm pretty happy with the way this came out - I really have a thing for green color. Anyway, I hope you like my druidess.

Love the variety of greens in this piece. Never heard of NwN2; always played in AD&D or Champions. My druidess' used weaponry made from natural items; bows and spears being the most common weapons they carried. And I had a holy warrior use Entangle to good effect a few times.

With 3.5 edition rules they should be able to wield scimitar and some other lighter weapons. I took couple levels as a fighter just to get the ability to use a longsword for close combat, though...

First of all her outfit is amazing in its detail, and how well it fits the Druid class. She has that kind of natural beauty, made of a balance of proportions too often left aside in today's representations of the female form. The background and how the sunlight shines through the canopy convey peacefulness to me, the more so since I live in a city and walking in the woods is a rare luxury

It is always a delight when one stumbles upon a new way of looking at a stereotypical fantasy figure. In the D&D world where I come from, druidess's dress in long cloaks and flowing robes that show up well in moonlight ceremonies. They tend to be forbiddingly lovely and too many of them are elves, (I'm a dwarf so perhaps my prejudice is showing.). This pretty young Miss is delightfully different with her cute tomboyish face and manner; though her figure is pleasingly feminine. The sword is a welcome addition - I like a girl who can cut and thrust. Her outfit is appropriately Ranger-like and she at home in the forest. Your way of showing a spell is beautifully, something lovely and magical. I'd be happy to have this girl along in a party of adventurers I was putting together.

I personally like more practical solutions when it comes to fantasy character's outfits - if one is supposed to be a forest dweller then tiny flowing dresses might not be the best possible choice of clothing.

It was a rotten day at work and I find two delightful replies from a young lady from Finland who, by her writing, is charming, funny and well read in fantasy. I look at your photo and I see a lovely, elegant and dreamy young lady. I will visit your site again in a couple of days and comment upon what I see. Good luck with the school work. Finland is rich in myth and epic. With your knowledge and artistic talent, you might make them much better known than they are.

Great pose. Really feel the rising power there.... O.O And the use of green throughout the picture is very effective. Everything seems to pop out even though it's all the same hue.
