Sleep A Lavi/Hikaru Fanfic

Lavi had woken up in the early hours of the morning, to fin Hikaru laid on the sofa, hugging a rather large pillow. When he checked what the time really was, he discovered it must be the few hours in which she actually slept. He had never seen her sleep before, and it shocked him.
All he could do was nudge her legs out of the way, so he could sit down. He soon found himself reading one the books she kept on the small table between where he sat and the television. Once he was a few chapters into it, looking at the actual title of the book seemed a good idea. 'The Dragon's Eye'
It sounded like something Hikaru would read, so he continued. It was a decent story. A few hours later, he heard something start clattering in the kitchen. It wasn't loud enough to wake anyone, but it seemed to him, odd.
He couldn't move, Hikaru had stretched in her sleep and had put her legs over his lap. Lavi mentally slapped himself for not just sitting on the floor. Soon, her mother entered the room.
"Oh, morning," she said cheerily, her usually straight hair flying in all directions.
"Good morning," he mumbled.
"You can just shove her off the sofa you know, she won't wake up,"
"What?" as he stared at the woman, disbelieving, as she did exactly what she had said. She put a hand on daughters back and pushed. Hikaru fell with a satisfying THUD to the floor, and stirred only to get comfortable.
"She's a heavy sleeper, even if she doesn't get much sleep. After shoving her off of that, she's gonna have her falling dream,"
Lavi merely stared at Hikaru's sleeping form. He hadn't been awake long, only two hours. It was only 4 in the morning, and already Hikaru was being abused. But it was true what her mother had said. She hadn't woken up, and she continued to sleep.
Not half an hour later did her mother's prediction come true. He walked back into the room with some cereal only see Hikaru spaz out on the floor, and abruptly sat up.
"Pikachu!" she said while doing this, "That was a weird dream,"
"What was it he?" Lavi asked her, scaring her a bit.
"Oh my – Oh. Um, I dreamt I was a Pikachu and I got thrown off a cliff by, I think it was a Venasaur," she muttered, alienating Lavi with the whole idea of Pokémon, something he had never come across. Hikaru, however, had grown up with it, so it was pretty normal to her.
Lavi did what anyone else in his position would have done, he smiled and he nodded. He even laughed as if he knew what she on about. She then got up immediately turned the television on. Again, Lavi was alienated by her behaviour. She was different in 1892, and this was the future, this was 2010.
When the normal sleepers awoke, they all came tramping down the stairs, one after another. They yawned, stretched (hitting the wall with their arm) or scratched their heads. A large breakfast was whisked up in minutes, and that day, it had to be said was spent sleeping most of the time.
Hikaru seemed to catch up on a lot sleep just by spending on day a week napping and eating. Lavi sent most his time watching her sleep. She looked so peaceful and he found when she hugged the massive pillow of hers, she curled around it, seeming like a cat.
He knew what he felt towards her. And she was the first girl he had trouble asking anything. Confessing rather. The typical role of 'love struck girl' and 'clueless boy' seemed to have swapped. Lavi sighed, knowing he to wait to find out how she felt.
