My mom loved humminbirds - she always had several hummingbird feeders set up in her backyard every summer. They're amazing little creatures, and so beautiful!

You can encourage hummbingbirds in your yard by either buying a hummbingbird feeder and keeping it filled or planting flowers they really like. We have a couple hummingbird vines - the actual name for the things - that have large, trumpet-shaped, orange flowers that hummingbirds really like, although we still don't get that many. My mom's hummingbird feeder always had them by it, though.

You know there were a lot of flowers named "Amapola" in my neighborhood that the hummingbirds loved. But all the flowers have dissapeared. That must be the reason for their absence. I did see one hummingbird but that was months ago. I think I'll try the hummingbird feeder or planting more "Amapola" flowers, I would love to see them again. I always loved them!
