Here's another take on the arcology concept. A lot darker and "apocalyptic" than I usually do.
"Arcology" - a fusion between the words "architecture" and "ecology" - refers to self-sustaining residential habitats designed for housing large populations. As such, they are theoretically meant to provide for every need of said population: climate control, power, food production, air and water circulation, conservation, purification, etc.
