My entry for the Arcane Idol Contest

Age : 28

Magical Talisman : Ancient Necklace

Dexter’s parents died when he was 20 years old due to a plague spread across the area. In order to survive he and his 12 years old sister (by that time) took on odd jobs one which involves juggling with daggers in the circus.Through the next few years they both traveled with the circus and worked there.After his sister died in an accident the circus closed permanently leaving Dexter homeless and unemployed.He decided to head back to his hometown. During his travels he came across a sandstorm where he had to find refuge in some ancient relics in the desert.He found the ancient necklace he wears buried in sand.When the sandstorm passed and he finally made it back to the town , he tried to sell the necklace. Traders didn’t believe his story of how he found it and suspicious as they were they never bought it.Unable to earn any kind of money , he decided to use the only thing he had to earn something for food. He started juggling on the streets. Since the crowd didn’t pay much attention , he wore the necklace to impress them and get their attention.That was the time he discovered its powers! It makes its host’s audience see their happiest memories.
