Description SUPER BIG EDIT, TWO YEARS AFTER I MADE THIS STAMP, PLEASE READ! So, yeah, this is a really embarrassing stamp. My opinions have changed a lot and I've got nothing against it anymore. In fact, I think it should be legalized. c: So yeah, have a nice day!

EDIT: No, I don't hate weed or the people who smoke it. I'm just tired of people trying to be cool and advertising their smoking. Sorry if I came off as close minded. Lol jk I'm not sorry

EDIT 2:This is meant for teenagers who think smoking weed is cool and 'BAWWW' to people that it should be legal. People BAWWing won't change anything.

EDIT 3: I now realize how much of a douche I can be. But since I have trouble understanding that some things are offending and can hurt/offend people, you'll probably notice this about my future stamps.

----------------------------------------------------
Yes, that is my opinion. I don't think it will ever be legalized because the government is simply too blind and a small group of people won't change that. I didn't mean to offend anyone (which I seem to do a lot...), but if you're still angry at me, I have a little message to you:

SUCK IT

That is all.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Original description:

Deal with it

I'm tired of teens being all "BAAWWWW" over the fact that marijuana is illegal. And then arguing and whining like "MARIJUANA IS TTLY SAEF EVERY1 SHULD SMOEK IT" and then bringing up some facts about it. Even though it hasn't directly killed anyone, it can still damage your brain, damage your lungs and cause severe schizophrenia, plus it can lead you to try stronger drugs. Oh, and guess what? The government isn't going to legalize it for you to get high. I support it if it is used to help cancer patients to live through the pain of dying and slow down pain, but for rebel teenagers to get high is just ridiculous. And I just know I'm gonna get some butthurt people crying at me for 'bashing' their precious weed and will probably try to convince me to change my mind through their countless facts Guys, I've heard all of them already. You don't need to imply to me that it won't kill you.

While I'm not a fan of recreational marijuana use, IΒ do seeΒ cannabis becoming legal at some point. Of course it won't be legal like cigarettes or alcohol, it'll be legalized for MEDICINAL reasons- people need to realize that "medical marijuana" doesn't mean marijuana itself is legal, you'd need to have some sort of illness such as cancer to even have it prescribed to you by a doctor, if you buy it from a guy on the street then you're breaking the law

It's legal in colorado, and washington. You'd have to be totally pessimistic to think it's never going to be legal in any other state ever.

And it doesn't damage my brain. It's harsh on the lungs true, but not if you use a vaperizer. And it doens't cause schizophernia, it just makes it worse, but you'd have to already have schizophrenia.

I could legally go to colorado, or Washington, and smoke some stuff, but I'm going to the army soon, so my gettting high days are ending soon.

However, I'm sure by the time I'm old, weed would be legal in a lot of places

Marijuana does not cause schizophrenia. In fact the information regarding the two isn't even substantial. As well the claim isn't that it causes it. The claim is that it can bring it out in people who already have it. As well it doesn't damage your brain at all. Your brain has receptors in it that only respond to THC which is what causes the high. They have also proven to kill cancer cells when active. It does nothing to your brain like other legal drugs such as cigarettes and alcohol. You are incredibly ignorant on the topic. You should study up.

drunkpimp3000 [2011-11-04 05:15:27 +0000 UTC]

lol just say no. You know a woman got life in prison in Oklahoma for having a pound of grass? Smoking a joint shouldn't put you in jail, since the only person you're hurting is yourself, and since people do a ton of other unhealthy things in life we should give people the freedom to smoke it or not. Weed won't kill you any more than a variety of other recreation things human consume, inhale, or imbibe.

Wow. Just... Wow.

I have never seen somebody so vehemently against education. That's amazing, because I've met some pretty close-minded people in my lifetime.

Your repetitive and thoughtless dismissal of the facts that pro-legalization proponents have worked tirelessly to compile through years of careful research actually makes you look even more stupid than the most inaccurate Above The Influence PSA-inspired portrayal of a stoner could ever even aspire to be. Facts shouldn't be dismissed just because they make you uncomfortable, they should be addressed with respect. After all, if they're facts, then they're undoubtedly true. That's why they're called "facts". (Duh.)

I don't want marijuana legalized just because I like to get high. (Although I do enjoy smoking as it relaxes me and allows me to come up with interesting drawings and story concepts.)

I want it legalized because prohibition is stupid, ineffective, and wastes taxpayer money.

Remember reading about when alcohol was illegal? Yeah, of course you do. Gangsters shooting each other in the street over bootlegged liquor, smuggling alcohol here and there.

Doesn't that shit also damage your brain? As well as your liver? As well as making it unsafe to drive and killing fetuses?

I think you need to really take a good hard look at the real world, and realize that legalizing weed(and all drugs in general, really) will only harm the criminals who make a profit from it being illegal.

Also, cannabis doesn't damage your brain or cause schizophrenia(although it can aggravate the symptoms of somebody who already has schizophrenia). It's probably the most harmless drug in the world. And that's including legal drugs such as alcohol, tobacco, and opiates.

But even if it wasn't harmless? Even if it was the most deadly fucking drug in the world, guaranteed to cause instant death to any dumb schmuck who decides to smoke it, what's the big fucking deal? Why can't some people be allowed to make the stupid choice to harm themselves? All it'll do is kill them off quicker and leave the smart people around to laugh at how dumb they are.

I don't care whether it's harmful or not. The government is legislating what we, the individuals, decide to put into our bodies. And that's wrong no matter how you look at it.

How would you feel if the government suddenly decided, because of some new chemical discovered(or even made up) that could be carcinogenic if taken in excess, to outlaw cheese? Wouldn't you feel like they were being a bit too pushy in deciding what you could and couldn't enjoy?

It's the same thing with drugs. If some idiot wants to fuck himself up on crystal meth, then let him. Who is it honestly hurting besides the idiot? And who are you honestly protecting by making it a crime for him to destroy his body however he sees fit?

I can tell you one thing: I have never done anything criminal while under the influence of pot. In fact, pot has actually prevented me from murdering a bunch of people or committing suicide in the past. And even if I did flip out and kill somebody? Then punish me for being a murderer, don't punish marijuana for supposedly nudging me in a direction I would've taken eventually anyway.

Hate the deed, not the weed.

I have never seen somebody so vehemently against education. That's amazing, because I've met some pretty close-minded people in my lifetime.
Then you clearly haven't met close-minded enough people, if you think I'm close minded, you clearly haven't seen a really close minded person.

(Duh.)
I know that people have proofed that marijuana is in fact not a dangerous drug. When did I show that the facts made me feel uncomfortable? This is about the fact that the government will never legalize Cannabis. Because newsflash! The government is simply too stubborn to give in and are in fact close-minded monkeys.

I don't want marijuana legalized just because I like to get high. (Although I do enjoy smoking as it relaxes me and allows me to come up with interesting drawings and story concepts.)

I want it legalized because prohibition is stupid, ineffective, and wastes taxpayer money.

I support your reasons, again this is aimed at people who just want to get high and be cool. I should have stated that better.

I don't in any way support alcohol, in fact I think it should be banned. But in fact that wouldn't work because that would only lead to more crimes, but that also applies to marijuana, if marijuana was legalized, there wouldn't be as many crimes. Now that's true.

Also, cannabis doesn't damage your brain or cause schizophrenia(although it can aggravate the symptoms of somebody who already has schizophrenia). It's probably the most harmless drug in the world. And that's including legal drugs such as alcohol, tobacco, and opiates.

But it can lead to people trying stronger drugs. And people have actually died while they were high, there have been cases where people fall of their balconies.

But even if it wasn't harmless? Even if it was the most deadly fucking drug in the world, guaranteed to cause instant death to any dumb schmuck who decides to smoke it, what's the big fucking deal? Why can't some people be allowed to make the stupid choice to harm themselves? All it'll do is kill them off quicker and leave the smart people around to laugh at how dumb they are.
...I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense. That's like legalizing murder.

You make a point here, but there have been plenty of foods that have been banned because of a dangerous chemicals involved. I learned to deal with it.

It's the same thing with drugs. If some idiot wants to fuck himself up on crystal meth, then let him. Who is it honestly hurting besides the idiot? And who are you honestly protecting by making it a crime for him to destroy his body however he sees fit?

It will possibly hurt his family and friends. Supporting that is like supporting suicide, it just isn't the answer. This is suicide.

I can tell you one thing: I have never done anything criminal while under the influence of pot. In fact, pot has actually prevented me from murdering a bunch of people or committing suicide in the past. And even if I did flip out and kill somebody? Now when did I ever actually diss marijuana itself? I'm dissing the people who can't get it in their thick skulls that it isn't going to be legalized for them to get high?

When did I say I hated weed and the people who smoke it? Feel free to point that out.

Then you clearly haven't met close-minded enough people, if you think I'm close minded, you clearly haven't seen a really close minded person.

I have. One of which is my father. However, judging by your next few answers, maybe you're not what I initially thought.

I know that people have proofed that marijuana is in fact not a dangerous drug. When did I show that the facts made me feel uncomfortable? This is about the fact that the government will never legalize Cannabis. Because newsflash! The government is simply too stubborn to give in and are in fact close-minded monkeys.

Then we get rid of the close-minded monkeys and elect officials that actually represent us rather than themselves. That's the thing most people don't seem to get about the government: It's only in power because we put it there. We can easily take away that power or alter it for our own benefit. The problem doesn't lie in the government, the problem lies in the stubborn people who still think the war on drugs wasn't a complete failure as well as the corrupt voters being strong-armed by drug lords who want to keep a monopoly on currently-illegal drugs. That's who Prop-19 failed, ultimately.

I support your reasons, again this is aimed at people who just want to get high and be cool. I should have stated that better.

Yeah, you really should have. Although even the whole "wanting to get high and be cool" thing, while incredibly stupid, should still be a basic right that those idiots are entitled to.

I don't in any way support alcohol, in fact I think it should be banned. But in fact that wouldn't work because that would only lead to more crimes, but that also applies to marijuana, if marijuana was legalized, there wouldn't be as many crimes. Now that's true.

Glad to know you acknowledge that. Maybe I was mistaken in calling you close-minded. I apologize.

But it can lead to people trying stronger drugs. And people have actually died while they were high, there have been cases where people fall of their balconies.

The gateway drug theory has been repeatedly debunked. In fact, the only reason why marijuana even seems like a gateway drug is just another product of it being illegal. Drug dealers want to make money, and weed is very cheap and doesn't bring in as much revenue as...say...cocaine. So they draw the kid in with weed, getting them interested in it. Then later on, due to a combination of peer pressure and shrewd marketing("If you like weed, wait till you try this..."), they're able to talk the kid into trying progressively-harder and more addictive drugs. I know this because several of my friends and family are drug dealers.

...I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense. That's like legalizing murder.

No. It's more like legalizing suicide, which I'm also in favor of. Murder is bad because it infringes on the rights of another person. Suicide or drug use or eating fast food is only damaging the ones who decide to do it, and they should be free to make that decision.

You make a point here, but there have been plenty of foods that have been banned because of a dangerous chemicals involved. I learned to deal with it.

That's the problem everyone has, unfortunately. They've "learned to deal with it". They don't care that the people they appointed to protect them are abusing their power, because they've become accustomed to the abuse. It's just like a battered housewife. "He only hits me because he loves me!" I, on the other hand, can't live with it.

I see the horrible shit our government does, I see the horrible shit we permit them to do, and I just feel sick to my stomach. I can't even read 1984 anymore, because it scares me so bad. It's too real for me. It strikes too close to home.

It will possibly hurt his family and friends. Supporting that is like supporting suicide, it just isn't the answer. This is suicide.

I've already said that I support the right to suicide. Fuck his family and friends, as far as I'm concerned. They aren't him, and they can't tell him what to do with his body if he's an adult. If it's hurting them, then why don't they leave him until he decides to rehabilitate himself? They shouldn't eliminate his choice just because it's one they disagree with.

Now when did I ever actually diss marijuana itself? I'm dissing the people who can't get it in their thick skulls that it isn't going to be legalized for them to get high?

The tone in your artists' comments seemed not only very condescending towards recreational cannabis users, but also towards the drug itself. You mentioned that it causes "brain damage and schizophrenia", and that you didn't want to hear any facts supporting why it should be legalized. You could have just worded it wrong, as you said before, but the problem with phrasing your sentences wrong is that obviously people are going to take them wrong.

Also, as I have said, the government will legalize it for recreational use if we make them. The government aren't a bunch of kings making the decisions. Americans decide what laws should come about by voting on it and writing petitions. The government doesn't control us, we control them. If people would someday wake up and realize that, the world would be a much better place.

I never said you hated weed or the people who smoke it, but you were acting very condescending towards both the drug and it's users. Not everybody who smokes it to get high are stupid teenagers trying to rebel. Nor are they burnt-out hippies with no source of income. In fact, the average adult pot smoker is just a regular person with a job and a family to support, and they like to toke up every now and then to relieve stress.

Your whole description, or at least a significant portion of it, just seemed devoted to making proponents for legalization feel like shit for liking weed.

And that's perfectly fine. You can call me a burnt-out retard with no brain cells just because I like weed. That's your right. Just as it's my right to refute those claims.

Isn't living in a free country beautiful?
