Description This photo lacks the quality of my other shots. Still, I wanted to showcase the unlikely bonds that exist in our diverse flock. Sitting amongst them is quite relaxing.

Mallards are one of my favourite types of ducks! ^^

They're very distinctive ducks.

Yeh! But sadly not where I live, I find a lot of Maned geese here! (also known as Australian wood ducks).

I had to look maned geese up. They have unique colors & bills.

Yeah they are so pretty, There's so many of them everywhere, every year between September and November, they breed little cute baby ducklings! you'd think they look like little feathers running across the grass! They are so adorable! ^^ It's funny to know that the Maned goose is smaller than the average mallard.

You ought to photograph them if possible -- especially the youngsters.

This is so adorable, what a cute flock you got!
I wonder if they will still be this close when adults though, haha. One can always hope. ^^

The two ducks and geese in this photo have since graduated to the "grown up" run, and still flock together. Β The chicken chicks remain in the grow-out pen for a while longer, so they likely won't resume their bond when they're reunited.

Hopefully so.
One of our older ducks -- with a crest -- has bonded with two older geese.
