The very first concept design and prototype for The Vampire Queen character designThis was done in pencil way back in 2012
A huge amount has changed and been altered from this first ever version to the modern day final character design now seen in The Vampire Queen Chronicles graphic novel series
I spent hours with Valeria Mordovskaya discussing exactly what we both wanted in the character design, comparing ideas and making little adaptations here and there
The thigh high boots stayed but the dress changed from silk to leather, the leather opera gloves altered to become fingerless and more stylish, the overall design of the dress is similar but has been altered a little, the main different is the obvious adding of the magical choker worn by The Vampire Queen which makes her 100% immune to sunlight
Despite being a Vampiress and originally having a cape Valeria later decided to drop the cape
Valeria's eyes were also altered to reflect a more cunning and plotting mind and her fangs became more visible
I'm afraid this first version is in pencil so its not highly visible
