I have to say I rather like this interpretation of the centaur a sight better than the usual "wise and dreamy, post-Chiron" type. The oldest friezes of these guys depicted them as more of an antithesis of man with a penchant for wildness and passion...which you've aptly captured here. XD I love the painterly look to it and the (very detailed) grass and rock. Younin' looks like he's about to taste some spear, poor fellow...maybe he can dodge and win the day after all. Love how the light bleaches out his entire arm and face too. Lately I've come to adore digital art that doesn't look "too digital."

mmmh .. not sure how to answer that ...
i have diferent methods, i dont stick to one.
in this case i made the base lines and base shade in painter
and used photoshop later for colours, textures and stuff.

There is a reason the old one has survided all his battles, but maybe is time for the next generation to step up ... maybe NOT ! one thing is sure ... is going to be an epic battle.
