Kia had been laying on the ground, lost in contemplating whether she had missed anything in her daily garden care list. She knew that the groundskeepers would be around once the dawn had broken into early day, but it didn't matter much to her, and she preferred to stay out of their sight, anyhow.
Kia had absolutely zero interest in the strangely grounded creatures, and generally tended to pretend they simply weren't there, though this place was surely busy as far as their bustlings went. Her own goings on were far more important and interesting, too. She recalled checking the fountain to see if there was any litter to be dealt with, and had made sure the soil was perfect for the roses and rhododendrons, she had pruned the one-hundred year old hedges to perfection, and had added an extra touch of colour to the wildflower section. Things were right on schedule, and she basked in her own pride.

The breeze tickled her nature feature against the fur of her ruff, and there was a prominent shift in the energy of the area. Kia knew the second that absolutely anything changed in her boundary, and she would not hesitate to tell just about everyone so, either. Though admittedly, she wasn't too fond of visitors through her boundary. The constant flow of ground creature traffic was incessant enough.

The dark-faced esk heaved a large breath and whipped her head around just in time to catch a magnificent sized and very colourful esk and it's companion standing a few feet away, apparently observing her.

"Do you just go about disturbing everyone in their boundaries?" Kia snapped toward the other, the stranger who was in her gardens...her tail flicked impatiently, and she stared at him, her nature features perking up as though if she had a brow to raise, she would have.

"Hadn't been the intention miss..." A mysterious voice came from this other. It's companion stationed itself behind it's legs and peered from behind, seemingly confused by her abrasiveness.

This is the first meeting of what, despite their obvious personality and attitude differences, are written in the stars to become inseparable...
