Description Anders (and justice) from Dragon Age 2

That game had a great ending, no matter your feelings on the repeated maps.

All done in photoshop, no textures just brushes (but they were texture brushes).

EDIT
Wow Bioware's Dragon Age Twitter and Facebook used my fan art as their daily image! I am so humbled. I was feeling kind of down so this cheered me up a lot. I have a long way before I become the artist I want to be, but this encouraged me to keep going. Thank You Bioware. <3

This is awesome, you should send it to Adam Howden on Twitter~ I'm sure he'd love to see it.

I have to agree. I rather liked that ending. Probably one of a few games whose ending I wasn't able to predict. I mean I knew Anders was up to something that would have me possibly killing him or him dying. But I didn't think he had what it took to act on his own.

Anyway the background is lovely and the glowing eyes too.

Ah yes someone else who appreciated the ending! I really hope DA3 addresses all the problems DA2 had (more maps, cohesive dialogue, etc) but keeps the rich story telling.

And thank you for the compliment

I also loved the ending! I think it raises some very poignant questions, not just within DA. Very scary picture of Justice, btw. His eyes!

Cool! I like how you did the background- what kind of brushes did you use to get it to look like canvas?

Thank you as for your question: I used a really soft cloud brush. Then I manipulated my background until it was crazy sharp and took a snapshot. Then I left a history marker on the snapshot and went back to my original drawing. Then I used my history brush (a really rough charcoal brush)and lightly touched the edges of my original brush strokes in hopes to make it more photographic. And then painted over that again with a hard edged brush.

It's a new process I was trying out on this painting. I haven't quit got it figured out for the face, but I'm going to give it another try on my next one.

I think it came out really well; I don't know as I'd have the patience to do all that!

And thank you for the fave!
