I want you all to meet a very special person! Her name is Ayla Nereo! As many of you have seen some of the couple shots at Burning Man I did, well those came from the same morning as I
was passing by a stage where this women was playing, I was simply enchanted by whatever the fuck it is that she was doing, and so I had to stop. Just watching people loving each other as they listened to her music was something I had to take pictures of, and I’m very thankful she helped create the moments these peoples had and that I was able to capture. As if that wasn’t enough, something even more ridiculous amazing happened! She decided that she was going to make up a song on the spot! Just create it right there! At first I was like ok, this is probably going to be terrible…boy was I the fuck wrong! What she made right there
in front of everyone was in my opinion an amazing song, and yet it wasn’t recorded and would never exist again. This was pretty sad but special at the same time, and immediately I knew I shoot this damn womens picture. So I basically harassed her into shooting later that day. I told her I had a silly idea, that I wanted to express what she does in a picture, and show that she creates music on the playa and for the playa, and then it floats away never to be heard again.
