Description
The HG-4 Hand Grenade was a category of thrown ordinance used by the Infrastructural army first introduced in 19IA, but taking some time to be issued in large numbers. The HG-4 was made of cast iron (painted to prevent rust) and replaced the simpler experimentations in grenades that proceeded it and Alcohol based incendiaries. It was originally issued to cavalry to break enemy formations in close combat, but soon found its way into the hands of infantry and other soldiers. Due to its throwing handle (which could be removed and was not always installed) and the shape of its head, it earned the nickname of "Mace" among soldiers.
