Teru is a shy individual, coming from the lack of social interaction as a child. This makes it a bit hard for Teru to open up or even speak probably in front of others that he is not close with. He tends to be rather clumsy as well as accident prone, always covered in bandages and bruises, but never anything serious. This also comes from his reckless personality.

Teru is rather reckless, and never knows his limits, either being to soft or too hard. He has not found a medium. This stems from his sickly childhood and his now great health, trying to find out how much he can do. His recklessness may also comes from his determination and dedication. When Teru is determined to do something or is playing a video game or sport, he works so hard that it might actually become harmful. Teru is often active, always doing something everyday to keep himself busy.

He is smart when it comes to school work and has a good memory but because he is so dense it maybe hard to notice as his dense-ness keeps him from understanding some jokes or insults as well as subtle messages. Once someone gets to know Teru he can be rather playful, and sometimes childish as he tries to get others to play with him and almost never let's them have a moments rest unless he's watching his favorite animes or watching a movie with them.

History:

Teru comes from a middle class house of four, his mother, father, and older brother, Hiiro. His mother was born and raised in Australia before coming to marry a Japanese man who had in his care the child from his previous marriage with his late wife. When Teru was born his birth caused a family feud as he did not resemble his "father" at all, making his father's family believe that Teru was not of his/their blood. In the end the families had to cut most ties between each other, leaving the family of four separated from relatives. Despite this, his family continued living normally and quite happily by themselves for a while. But still, the fact that Teru does not look like his brother does bother him and is a sensitive subject.

Born a sickly child, during his elementary schooling he had to be home schooled as he was too sick to attend public schools. Since he was sick a lot, he didn't get to meet a lot of kids either, only growing close to his 'Nii-chan' and the younger brother of his brother's friend.... (Sabu-chan). It wasn't til middle school, that he was able to attend school normally. His health had grown into peek condition, though Teru was at first still wary of getting sick. He didn't adventure much or talk much at first as he was afraid of becoming ill or hurt and didn't know how to talk to others. Luckily his closest friend, Sabu, attended to the same middle school as him.

Saburou, being in the volleyball club, was the one who actually got Teru into the sport. Teru had been interested in sports before because of his older brother but was often too scared or shy to actually try out for a sport himself. So, It took a lot of convincing by Saburou to join the middle school volley ball club. Once on the team, Teru realized the enjoyment from it as it was the first time he was actually able to be active and "free". Even as his friend went on ahead to high school he stayed in the volley ball club and continued to play.

Relationships:

Watanabe, Shichiiro 42:
"...eh.... um... Rather not."

Teru and his father has a rocky relationship as the stress of his father's relationship with his family is starting to effect Shichiiro. This could be just his middle life crisis as well as his father starting to evaluate his life, making it a bit hard for Teru to talk to him. Often his father is gone to work so Teru does not interact much with him.

Watanabe, Annabelle 36:
"She's my mom... what more can I say?"

Teru's mother has a good bond with her son. As his mother she took it upon herself to look after Teru some days when he was young, but also being a nurse meant she had to often leave him alone as well. Despite the good bond they're not really close as Teru rather go to Hiiro for everything.

Watanabe, Hiiro (Onii-chan) 20:
"Onii-chan is the greatest.... Haha.. wish I could be more like him."

Teru always adores and looks up to his older brother, Hiiro. Teru wants to be more like his brother, as his brother encourages Teru and tends to spoil him ever since they were little. They have a close bond and so far almost no one can be as great as his brother.

Kurosawa, Saburou (Sabu-Chan) 16 :
"Sabu-chan is great, almost like a second brother!"

Saburou and Teru met through their older brothers who were friends. Since then they become close friends and it was Saburou who actually got Teru into volley ball when they were in middle school together.

Ito, Seiji 18 :
"He... kind of reminds me of Onii-chan.. though I still think Nii-chan is much better!
But regarding that, I guess I admire him in a way?"

Teru admires the captain and hopes that the fact he reminds him of his older brother in a way that it will help him open up to Seiji quicker than he did to his old teammates. He still nervous and afraid to mess up around him just because Teru is shy around others until he really knows them well.
