Description
This is Vincent's 1st level limit break, Galian Beast. I started this a long, long time ago, in a galaxy without tablets. The mouse-work was PAIN, but I got surprisingly far on mouse alone. I'd forgotten about this guy for a long time but now it's finished! Finished much faster thanks to the tablet!Anyway, I'm an FF7 purist and I hated what Squeenix did with poor Galian in Dirge of Cerberus. I mean, a cape skirt? WTF? The original Galian Beast design was much better, and I tried to keep this as close to the original as possible (well, his horns are a bit small, but I was having serious issues with their angle and positioning. And don't get me started on his posture... the pose leaves much to be desired, but I'm not going through the work of changing that).
Well, I hope you enjoy classic Galian Beast in a lovely autumn evening. It makes me want to draw Vincent (human form) in an autumn setting.

Not too shabby. ^^ I like how the foreshortened leg turned out. Though the heel and pad part of his leg seem a bit too short or too small for the rest of his body. Though I know part of it is the crouching position. It's hard to try to get things to really look quite right.
I would love to see a really cool action piece of this. Nothing better then a big purple hairy beast charging down on you. ><

Way to go on your path to a sense of completion! I'm glad to see this wonderfull piece finalized and put up where everyone can enjoy it. I like how Galian seems right at home in a forest. (It makes one wonder where a purple-fire-casting beast would naturally evolve... besides next to a mako reactor.)

Hooray for FF7 purists! I was one of those people who would have preferred to just have the cinema scene graphics instead of AC's girly young boy looks. *shudders remembering the original AC Sephiroth design*

Heh. The early AC Sephiroth was scary, but even with the fixes, I was still weirded out by everyone's quasi-feminine-Japanese-ness. I mean, how could Cloud, a natural blond, be Japanese? It makes no sense... Kinda like how the AC story made no sense...
