Description
LABUNG collection is inspired by the exit point within a dream. The unknown is always more intense and tangible in my dreams, and for that reason, it's been my constant source of inspiration. While we are dreaming, we are incapable of remembering who we are; our sense of identity, including the idea of “me” as the dreamer, or “me” as the dreamt, ceases to exist. This idea sparked my imagination and began to form the imagery in the collection. The holes makes up our dreamscape begin to morph into portals of a dimensional doorway. This doorway might be the way to end the dream, or it could be the way to start a whole new dimension. We can choose to go back to our old world, or we can fly through it. When we return to our physical body, we realize that our sense of identity has returned to us, and now we know who we are: We are the dreamer, and the dreamt.
