Tonally really nice and I like how the pier has masked of the horizon so it in effect becomes the horizon. Nice... btw.. did you set levels in PS with this shot?

No levels or anything fancy like that, just some good ol' graduated grey filters.

Grrrr..... The levels are just off..... if you have PS then load the shot open levels and move the pointers into to the edge of the black mountain.. you'll see what I mean!
Then I'll show you how all digital shots are soft out of the camera and you have to sharpen them!

I'm sorry you think the levels are incorrect. I did take your advice and tried to change them, but I can't tell what it's doing to the picture. I can see that it makes it darker, but I don't know what it's doing to the colour.
It's only sloft becuase I was stupid and shot it at f/4.

Actually it on't change the colour.. the other thing I didn't say was that you need to move the white arrow in the middle of the levels control to bring back your light levels.... so if its gone dark the move that arrow back to lighten it... it should be a clearer photo with less hazyness? And don't be sorry.. it wasn;t a real grrr and I had to learn to use these things.. tell me if you reckon its improved.
PS CS2 has an auto levels but I prefer to do it manually.
But as you say at F4 its going to have that gentle evening feeling which is fine to sit back with a VB and enjoy the view to!
