Description The Dark Hedges, a road lined with beech trees in County Antrim..

... we all walked the Bregagh Road, the length of the Dark Hedges. It's such a small straight, but such an enchanting one. As I said, it's hard to describe the place. It's like a world within our own. The place is very much ALIVE, and with the play of light that sometimes twinkles through the thick blanket of leaves it looks like the trees are moving.

It is a 'weird' feeling place. very sheltered, but at the same time it can make mid-day feel like a sunset/evening in some areas!

True.. but the effect they have edging this country road is amazing people from all over the world go out to find this road and walk the small distance of it
