Basic Information
Name: Oshangado Misuto
Nickname: Kaho
Age: 1289
Gender: Male
Worker or Guest: Worker
Department: Guard
Job: Witches Office
Spirit Information
Spirit: Ayakahi
Country of Origin: Japan
Current Home: Bath house
Humanoid Height: 5"3
Spirit Height: Roughly 6"8 and while on land is about 9"0 long // In water can grow to about 26"0 long
Skills/Powers:
>> As an ayakashi Kaho is able to use forms of water (i.e: water, fog, mist ect (but not ice)) to his advantage. Since he relies on water for his strength its not uncommon to see him exerting water from his body in the form of fog if he has an excess of water. Being inside the bath house or the surrounding water basically fuels him. If he's exposed to high heat or dryness his power is likely to deteriorate along with his strength being sapped from him.
>> Despite not having an entirely muscular build he makes up for the lack of physical strength with agility. Combined with his ability to shift his hands into his massive claws, his speed aids him in covering gaps of space in short amounts of time to shred any threats.
>> Regardless of his beast form being very canine like; his tail is his give away that hes not technically solid. The reason his length as a beast grows when in water is because his form stretches like a water balloon with the more water he has. So defensively, he's able to use the water his body retains to morph himself into a massive puddle. Though the draw back is the defensive maneuver is extremely taxing on his body and he can only hold the act up for maybe twenty seconds at most. Once his body returns to its prior form he wont have the energy to return to water for a while. It leaves him exhausted and rather sluggish.
Personal Information
Personality: Oshangado comes off as a rude, bad mouthed spirit. Typically rather offensive in attitude, very off-ish. While he doesn't mind hurting others physically or even emotionally, he remains off-ish due to an underlying desire to not be wanted. Due to events of his past he doesn't mind being seen as the villain but he has grown to picking favorites and growing to be very loyal to them. But allowing others to grow close to him is more of a privilege for that person. His strict loyalty tends to push him to adopt younger spirits as "his kids" and tends to nickname anyone younger than him "kiddo" if he finds a spot in his heart for them. Despite this "pup" nature to him; he was born and raised to assassinate. A much colder side remains glued to him that can't be entirely broken. When enraged or if someone important to him or the bath house has been threatened or harmed he will grow fierce and at times is known to be seen going "berserk" to a degree. Aside from that he prefers to keep his personal issues and past to himself. But there are rare moments where he may feel nostalgic enough to bring up fond moments.

- Being pestered about his past
History:
If you asked Kaho about where he was from or when he was born; he'd only say, "I don't remember." Or, "I don't worry about the past."
For Oshangado Misuto, the past is a time where he had free range and roam, a hand on everything he could see. He was born on the wreckage of a large ship that once carried many passengers; all whom were long dead by then. He was also born to the name Kaho. The rocky outing and wreckage built 'village' was the perfect home for an ayakashi. Born to a litter of six; four brothers and one sister. Oshangado was considered the "runt" of the litter and was there fore given very little attention. As he grew up from a young "pup" to more of a fledgling, he watched his siblings take on their favored forms. Some took on serpent like shapes and the rest remained more like creatures of the deep. When he figured his siblings relied on their parents' influence to never venture to land he kept trying to influence his own changing form to be enabled to venture on land. His eyes always glued to the horizon for the land he could see in the distance.
By the time he had started to make his form more permanent the rest of his litter and his parents had left him in the wreckage to his own devices. Though, as the runt he had very little idea of what he was supposed to do. He fended for himself though, always returning to the wreckage to retire for rest or safety. But the more the local island grew with people, the more boats were made. Instinct rose within him and led him to hunting the ships; regardless of who was on board. Innocent or guilty, women or children, that ship was shredded to bits or herded into stormy waters to let nature take its course.
To clean up the mess he had to start consuming the humans' bodies. But wreckage had an uncanny way of luring other ayakashi to the mess like a homing beacon. Soon enough his little home was crowded by other ayakashi and he found himself growing territorial and a feral instinct drove him to battle. He challenged the fellow ayakashi for the ownership of his home. His skills spent learning to survive on his own gave him enough skill to figure out how to fight with others of his kind. Oshangado came out the victor but heavily wounded in his mid section. These wounds grew to be scars that would stay for a very long time. Only after many years did that start to shrink in size.
When a few hundred years of life became a milestone he dared to venture nearer to land and farther from his home. Always keeping his distance from the humans but his interest was heavily piqued by them and their ways. He clung to the rocks near the cliffs and shore line, watching them from a distance but never venturing further. For a while, the humans saw him but didn't seem alarmed or have reason to act upon his existence thanks to him not seeming interested in attacking them or moving any closer than his rocks. At least.. until they started building a port there. And large ships started coming in and leaving. It drove him nuts and he paced uneasily in the waters. He didnt want to leave because of the ships but he had to destroy them. After suffering this conflict for ten years he snapped and gave in, coiling around the boat and crushing it to pieces. But why did the image of the sinking human girl make him cease his destructive manners?
Of the passengers aboard the busted boat, the only survivor was the girl. He hauled her ashore with his head ducked low. When he made to recede back into the ocean the humans roped him ashore and pulled him under the light of the bonfire. He writhed and squirmed for freedom but the humans wouldn't allow it. When they threatened to dry him out by the heat of the fire he begged for his life in exchange for guarding the village. When the villagers decided that this could be allowed; they told everyone that if he should step out of line that his weakness was heat.
For a few years he guarded the village reluctantly, learning to take on a more human shape though his life as a spirit was most noticeable. Regardless of his refuse to the humans, the young girl he had saved years before hand had grown up and had caught his eye. He hated how easily he'd started to fall in love with the girl. Soon enough he was attempting to court the girl. It took some time but he managed to form a secret kept love with her that the village wasn't aware of until they discovered her pregnancy. Instead of killing her or him they drove him out of the village and away from there enraged that he would consort with one of them. Not wanting to risk harm on her or the unborn child he left the village and wandered along rivers and the ocean shore.
He grew to seal himself off from allowing others to attach themselves to him beyond a fragile friendship. The last human he ended up being near was an unforgiven swordsman who wandered the lands in search of a new home or a way to forgiveness. The two found company in eachother and traveled together for a while, well into the humans old years. Upon the swordsmans dieing day he bestowed his sword to Oshangado whom up to the day of his death never called him by his real name of Kaho. Even though the human had given him the name Oshangado Misuto "Ocean Guard Mist", the ayakashi took the name to heart and decided to claim that Kaho was nothing more than a nickname. He learned a lot from the human, fighting and ways of life, a way to live on despite the past.
Oshangado held onto the sword to the present day; though as years passed and Japan grew more modern and crowded, finding ways to avoid humans and ships grew more and more difficult. At least until he met other spirits and yokai who mentioned a bath house for them, many retreating from the humans to relax there. He decided to follow them to the bath house. His visits were few at first, but the more humans took over Japan, the more he started to visit until asking to work there. His life aside from this job would have no other true purpose aside to cause destruction to ships and over sea trade. He offered his talents in fighting and his loyalty and once accepted as a member of the house he worked his way up, finding life in the house hectic at first but gradually more and more familiar.
Though not a day passes where he wonders if the girl had ever given birth and if so; where was that child now? Probably not alive - being half human. But the idea always kept him watching the sea longingly as if he'd get a glimpse of the girl and the child. Even so, he finds life in the house pleasant and yet busy enough to keep his mind from thinking too much about the past.
Additional Info:
- Does have skill in swordsmanship and uses/carries the sword he received from the swordsman when on duty or when needed.
- He does enjoy human presence though for the bath house he will remain wary of them unless he sees no threat in the human.
- Kaho grows restless at the sight of boats and ships but for the most part can control his desire to rip them to shreds. But given the opportunity to dismantle a ship and he isn't told he can't do so; he will jump at it.
RP Style: Skype, chat, preferably paragraph. Im not too fond of notes or comments; but if notes is all you can do, I suppose I can manage.

uh, ayakashi is another term for youkai. it basically translates to ghost or spirit in our language, so it's not necessarily a sub species of youkai like kitsune, tengu, and whatnot. vuv
Nyanko sensei's true form is something that was created for Natsume Yuujinchou; it doesn't actually exist in folklore from my understanding.

Hm. Well there is a youkai specifically titled as an Ayakashi; though its form is entirely vague and ranges from a ship grave yards in the ocean to serpentine dragon shapes or even the kraken.

the original older drafts of kalens demon form were heavily inspired by nyanko but the more I tried to push it away from looking too much like him the more I stylized it as a fox/dragonesue build
