Actually I had my analogue camera with me (loaded with b&w film) and just as I spotted this dog I realized that I just had shot my last frame on the film, so I borrowed by bf's DSLR, didn't even check the settings... But it came out quite nice, just tweaked the curves a little bit... Just lucky I guess!
